Once they rescued a South African (British) pilot from his P-51 that crashed in the ocean! The N Koreans were going to get to him first, but Dad said- "They didn't like our three inch guns blasting at them!"

>>5884 There must be a few. A guy I know had a German Grandfather, a prisoner of war who decided to stay in the UK when he was released. The old fella only died about six months ago. Old soldiers always have fascinating stories to tell, I'd have liked to hear a few from the other side.
