I was reading the full story and how 'total' the Netherlands and U.K. would get. Not bad at all is what I see from here. Every time one of these comes along, it's usually overcast and everyone goes home with their head down. Glad you did this good, J.C. The welder's mask is something I wouldn't have thought of and I have one.

This is an early shot while I was still experimenting on the best way to photograph the eclipse. I'm using a welding mask glass filter here, blurry and green :/
In the end I settled on using a strong neutral density filter and setting the camera to it's lowest possible light setting, ISO 100 F40 1/8000th, while I watched on the live view screen. It was too bright in this setup to look through the optics.
