>>29857 My sleuthing has come to a standstill; Houston is socked in with cloud cover. I missed Haley's Comet because of the same thing.

If it clears off up there, maybe you'll catch a glimpse of that comet that's passing by from now till the 25th of January. It'll appear in the evening sky to the southeast. If you're away from the city, you will see the ice trail also. If you miss it, not to worry. It'll return in 15,000 years.

Shoveled roughly 2 fresh inches of snow this morning. On my commute into work this morning, in the -5 degree temps, I saw two vehicles spun out and facing the wrong direction in traffic lanes, another one about 20 yards off the road into an embankment and yet another one with police assistance that looked like he tapped into the fellow ahead of him, resulting in a bit of damage to his bumper and hood. The thought crosses my mind that this current temp is the high temp for tomorrow. That cold blast kills alright.

>>29852 You're certainly right about O.B., Grim. That cold blast kills.

A bit more north (Tilburg) = more snow

>>29821 yes, it's good to kill most bugs. I'm actually hoping it will be either extremely cold or raining at old/new years eve = no fire crackers/mortars gangs ;)

I should wash out my mouth with soap for saying this but Houston could use a few good freezes so the mosquito population next summer won't be so bad. Helps with the fleas also.

Very cold here in Blighty, but no snow.
