30 to 40 cm of snow! I made a nice path to the house yesterday..

23/12/10(Thu)08:59

>>7424 What a crap hole! Clean the place up for Christ's sake! ;P
Seriously though I hope that rain stops soon.

22/12/10(Wed)23:06

>>7425 yup.. missed it too! :(

22/12/10(Wed)22:49

>>7423 It's been overcast here for days! Very dark mornings, and it made me miss the full lunar eclipse! I've never seen a full one !

here's a pic someone posted on facebook of laguna beach. she writes:

"It's PCH and Laguna Canyon Road. Main Beach and the boardwalk have succumbed to the awsome power of our mood swing mama, Mother Nature."

22/12/10(Wed)19:45

>>7413 we got it alright! hadn't seen the sun in 7 days. this morning was a nice surprise! :)

22/12/10(Wed)19:16

>>7385 ain't mine, I'm not that crazzzzzzzzzy!!!

22/12/10(Wed)17:31

>>7382 A snow-fleshlight!?! Most inventive XD

22/12/10(Wed)14:28

>>7405 I just heard on CNN that you are expected to get eight more inches of rain!

22/12/10(Wed)02:10

Actually, I would love to see ten feet of snow falling, just to see what it's like! I remember seeing in a World Book Encyclopedia, there was a story about a fifteen day blizzard (I don't remember what city) that dropped seventeen feet of snow! It had a photo of a woman walking by a hanging traffic light that was right next to her! It happened sometime during the 60's!

22/12/10(Wed)01:58

from an article about our Wet Christmas, going into our 7th day of rain -

"Downtown Los Angeles received one-third of its annual average rainfall in less than a week. As of midmorning Tuesday, the rain gauge at the University of Southern California campus recorded 5.77 inches. Forecasters said another 2 inches was expected there through Wednesday."

and..

"The storm was expected to drop a total of 10 1/2 to 15 1/2 feet of snow."

22/12/10(Wed)00:33

Need a 'wanker' atop that igloo, Grim. Gonna have a great holiday season, Vis...I'm in it for the food.

21/12/10(Tue)21:32

>>7382 sweet!! did you sleep in it? where's the snowman?

>>7370 sounds miserable, goodgrief. will you still have a good christmas? :)

21/12/10(Tue)13:09

Humidity is mostly high up here also! Which makes it miserable when it's only 80!

21/12/10(Tue)12:42

Abswering your question, Fox...humidity always high in the summer AND winter...90% plus is typical. One sweats in a cold shower. Certainly could use some of that rain, Vis. We've had only an inch in the last 3 months...everything dead and Texas, in general, has the potential of burning. Illegals haven't stolen the dead grass.....yet. People have had all their presents stolen from under the tree...poor kids.

21/12/10(Tue)00:22

>>7330 you forgot riot and looting, oh wait that's a typical day. ;p

>>7320 8 hours! Poor sod, did they made you push?

21/12/10(Tue)00:16

of course, minus the earthquakes and illegals ;)

20/12/10(Mon)23:29

i didn't see the 9 feet of snow report, but i believe it.

when it rains heavy like this, we get rock slides, mudslides, flooding, flash-floods, snow, sandbags everywhere, trees falling down, power outages, traffic accidents.. but when it's sunny, it sure is a beautiful state ;)

20/12/10(Mon)22:55

>>7324 Nine feet? If we got that much here everybody would be dead within a week!

20/12/10(Mon)22:40

Glad you're home safe JC!
Vis, did you see that they said parts of Califoria are going to get 9 feet of snow?!?
It's snowing here now!

20/12/10(Mon)22:18

welcome home, jesuschrist! :) did you have a nice weekend, at least?

if i don't leave the office now (2:30ish) to go home, traffic and rain will stall me till about 7:30.

20/12/10(Mon)21:56

Well a journey that normally takes 3.5 hours took 8 because of the weather, but I'm home safe and sound.

lovely

-10 degree Celsius(14F)+ 20cm(7.874inch) snow + icy roads

20/12/10(Mon)14:42

>>7312 Is it humid there?! Many years ago, I spent a couple of weeks in the Arizona desert with a drill crew from AMAX coal company, and it was 116 degrees, and we didn't even sweat because there was no humidity! And we were on a Indian reservation! I found pottery shards all over! The drill foreman told me to keep it quiet, because if anyone found out, they would shut down drilling operations!

20/12/10(Mon)13:47

You wouldn't like the heat in Houston, Fox. I can get under a tree and take a breather with ice water. Freezing cold goes all the way to the bone.

19/12/10(Sun)17:29

>>7273 Cold never relly bothered me! In fact, I overheat fairly easy! Week before last, I was out splitting wood at 16 degrees F, and I was sweating! I prefer 60 degree summers, but that never happens! It gets in the 90's here, and it kills me! Although, it wouldn't bother me to move to Florida, or Hawaii, because the breeze is constant! :)

19/12/10(Sun)14:21

Great looking 'snow-wanker' you have there, Grim. Hope you guys have some heavy coats and warm socks. I can remember going back to my ship on San Diego bay. It was sleeting and wind about 20knots. Those 15 min. have been the coldest in my life. Uncontrollable shaking and shivering and got sick at my stomach. Okland bay was cold too. Come to think of it, Sasebo, Japan was cold also.

19/12/10(Sun)01:50

>>7273 30 degrees is a good summer day for Brits. Over here, water goes hard at zero.

18/12/10(Sat)23:13

I'm down in Hampshire for the weekend and we've had 1Ft of snow :O
I hoping we can get home on Monday :D

18/12/10(Sat)21:24

i've been in colorado when the temps are in the 30's and it's cold. in cali, when it's 50, it's a wet, bone chilling cold because it's cold coming off the ocean. is that your feeling regarding "cold"?

18/12/10(Sat)21:10

Not too bad around here today! It's about 30 now, but are calling for a low of 14 tonight!

18/12/10(Sat)20:17

in orange county, we're entering our second day of what they predict will be a 5-6 day conglomeration of rain storms

18/12/10(Sat)17:52

>>7264 The snow just hit my neck of the woods this afternoon. But it's the last weekend before christmas, so I'm still heading into town for the evening.

Here in the Netherlands it's total chaos..again not enough salt (guess they didn't learn it from the last time)

18/12/10(Sat)13:54

Saw on the news that England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, etc were really getting pounded with snow and ice storms. Lots of airplanes grounded and roads impassable. The pictures showed chaos abound. How you guys doing. Weather nasty here but I'm staying inside cooking.

09/12/10(Thu)20:42

i think she is a dirty little tramp, and that is kind of a turn on. but she is also not very bright, and i like that too. :D

the way people think sarah palin is a milf (which is something i cannot understand), i am sure people think i am crazy for lowering my standards, just this once, for paris ;)

and what does any of this have to do with winter???? ;D

Cold as a witches tit here in Herefordshire :/

05/12/10(Sun)20:09

A brief thaw for us this weekend, but Jack Frost is coming back this week. The Russians will turn our gas off any day now.....

05/12/10(Sun)12:59

I recall a snow in 1976...about 2 inches. Short sleeves yesterday in Houston but cold next week. Highs of mid 50's and lows in the 40's. Brrrr....

05/12/10(Sun)09:25

I don't need one.
You can have mine.
