Windows 10 preview

It looks and feels just like 8.1 only with some features of 7. So 8.1 + 7 = 10 ;)

This wasn't a good idea

I still use 7 on most of my machines (3), only my gaming rig uses 8.1. If windows 10 will be a free update I most definitely get it.

I'll happily stay with Windows 7, nothing I've seen of 10 makes me think it's an improvement.

And what happened to Windows 9...

The 'tile screen', like windows 8 has, is completely gone. You immediately, after a log in, go to the desktop. And if you left click the windows logo (or press the windows key on your keyboard) you see the windows 7 start menu, with the windows 8.1 tiles: COMBO! Added feature: you can add/change/remove the tiles.

Right click on the windows logo still lets you see the 'pro' shortcuts (Task manager, Command prompt, Event viewer, etc)

Finally the command prompt allows for keyboard shortcuts, like control+c and control+v

A tool (program) that allows you to see what programs you have open at the same time. Neat.
